Elizabeth Mary Mozuch (Barry), 67 passed away on April 4th, 2026, surrounded by her family after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer.
Beth was born on May 16, 1958, to Thomas and Eleanor Barry. She was raised in Medford along with her three sisters Cathy, Margy and Chrissy as well as a large extended family of Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins. Her favorite memories of growing up were of the whole family being together for every holiday, often surrounding the piano as her father played. She graduated from Medford High School in 1976 and went on to pursue her nursing career. She married Scott Mozuch on June 28th, 1980. They quickly started their family and raised their three sons in the home next door to her mother and sisters.
Beth’s favorite role in life was being “Nanny” to her eight grandchildren. Every new baby would get endless cuddles and rocking while she sang the do-de-do song. To Beth if the babies were clean, warm and cozy then all was well in the world. She was always there to help with an extra set of hands. She was always at the hockey rink, watching the kids play their sports was her favorite past time. Everyone knew “Nanny Beth” at the games. If Beth wasn’t with her grandchildren, then she was most likely talking about them to anyone and everyone.
Beth was a nurse for more than 45 years with spending more than half of her career at the North End Waterfront Health in Boston during which time she formed incredibly close bonds with her patients as well as coworkers. Beth loved being with family, whether it be attending family parties, holiday get togethers or being at the cottage up at the lake. She always wanted to catch up and hear about what everyone had been up to since she saw them last. She spent the summers at Newfound Lake her “happy place”. She loved spending long days at the beach, floating in the lake and grabbing her favorite frozen strawberry margarita at The Big Catch. She loved cooking for her family and was always finding new recipes to try out. She was an avid football fan and loved watching her Patriots every Sunday.
Beth is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Eleanor and her husband of 37 years, Scott. She is survived by her three sons Scott Mozuch and his wife Jennifer of Wilmington, Thomas Mozuch of Wilmington, and Derek Mozuch of Quincy, grandchildren: Patrick, Matthew, William, Elizabeth, Eleanor, Shae, Jameson and Luke. Her sisters Cathy and Margy Barry of Woburn and Chrissy Barry and her husband Mike of Billerica and her beloved niece Jamie of Bridgewater as well as many cousins spanning multiple generations. She is also survived by Scott’s siblings and their families: Dave, Cheryl, Gary, Valerie, Darcy (predeceased) Brad, Andrea, and Jill.
