James G. “Jimmy” Peterson
February 18, 1962- April 6, 2026
James G. “Jimmy” Peterson, 64, of Anderson passed away on April 6, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson following a brief illness.
He was born on February 18, 1962 in Anderson to Roy and Virginia Peterson. He graduated from Anderson High School.
He worked at D&D Brake Factory for over 15 years and then owned A&J Laundry on 29th Street for 14 years.
He loved NASCAR, fishing, camping, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and animals. He was a member of the Neighborhood Community Crime Watch.
He is survived by his three siblings, Ryan Peterson of Anderson, Teresa Land of Nashville, TN and Jeff (Juanita) Peterson of Baltimore, Maryland; his brother-in-law, Steve (Becky) Sylvester of Anderson; an uncle, Fred Peterson of Daleville; special friends, Mark and Kem Goettman of Markleville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Amy Peterson; and a sister, Lori Peterson.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. He will be buried in East Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Animal Protection League or Madison County Humane Society.
