Orlando Diniz (68) of Brockton passed away on April 2nd at the Care Dimensions Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Belmira Teixeira Gonçalves.
He was born in São Filipe, Fogo, Cabo Verde, the son of the late Benjamin Lopes Gonçalves and Maria Augusto Diniz.
Orlando was known for his joyful spirit and warm personality. He loved to sing, tell jokes, and help others. Always well-dressed, he took pride in his appearance and was well-known and cherished by many.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Ronaldinho Diniz, Edson Diniz, and Benjamin Diniz; his daughter, Sandra Diniz; his brother, Aristede Gonçalves; and his two sisters, Julia Diniz and Ana Diniz. He also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, Sunday April 12th from 5-8 pm.
Funeral Services and Burial will take place in his home country of Cabo Verde.
