Kathleen Contois, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Wareham, Massachusetts.
Born on July 4, 1945, in Boston, Massachusetts, Kathleen lived a full and vibrant life marked by her dedication to family, her strong personality, and her many passions. She worked for many years at H.L. Boutons, Inc. in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, where she was a valued and hardworking employee until her retirement.
Kathleen was a woman of many interests and talents. She had a deep love for music—especially Elvis— along with a passion for painting, movies, and faithfully watching the Oscars each year. She enjoyed politics and was never one to shy away from a spirited debate. Kathleen also found great joy in cooking and baking, often bringing family and friends together with her meals and treats.
One of Kathleen’s greatest passions was genealogy. She dedicated countless hours to researching family roots and preserving history, not only for her own family but for others as well. Her work and dedication created a lasting legacy that will continue to be cherished for generations.
Kathleen is survived by her children: Kerry (Contois) Judd, Ann Contois, and Keith Contois. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Natasha Contois, Jordan Williams, Cole Contois, Keith Contois, Caleb Contois, Dylan Contois, Jesse Judd, Victoria Judd, Marcus Fiori, Joseph Fiori, Joey Contois, and Robert Jones. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren: Khloe, Zaden, Blake , and Avery.
She was predeceased by her sons Gregory Contois and Jeffrey Contois, as well as her husband, Louis Joseph Contois III.
Kathleen will be remembered for her strong spirit, her love of family, her curiosity about the past, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Cremation services are being handled through Casper Funeral Services. The family will be holding a private celebration of life for close family and friends during the summer; details will be announced at a later date.
