
Laurence Jerome Dube, 89, of Derry, New Hampshire, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026. Son of the late Jerome O. and Estelle (Nadeau) Dube, Larry was born April 20, 1936, in Lawrence, MA. Previously of Methuen, MA, Larry spent the last 40+ years as a Derry, NH resident.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard of Massachusetts, Company B 182d Infantry. While a member of the Army Reserves in the 1950’s, he proudly served alongside his brothers: Edgar, Alfred, Richard; and brother-in-law, John Slauter.
Larry and his family were long time volunteers for their parish, Mt. Carmel Church and School in Methuen, MA. They established and managed the bingo hall to help support the financial needs of the parish. Larry called bingo every week for many years before the parish closed. He continued his love of calling bingo at the Marion Gerrish Community Center in Derry, NH, for many years.
Larry and his late wife, Colleen, loved traveling and camping at Cascade Campground in Loudon NH. Together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing bingo, cribbage, board games and making memories.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary (Gerald) O'Sullivan of Arizona, and Pamela (David Dong) Frazier of Illinois. His brother Paul “Pete” (Elaine) Dube of Methuen, MA; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was predeceased by his wife, Colleen (Gath) Dube; sisters, Lena Bernard, Valentine Morin, Theresa Desell, Irene Silva, Aline and Joyce Dube; brothers Albert “Ray”, Edgar, Alfred, Richard and Omer Dube.
The family would like to thank the medical care providers who helped him through the years: Dr. William Graft, Dr. Scott Low, Dr. Shaikh Hoque, and Dr. Neeraj Vasishtha, along with the 2nd floor caregivers and ICU team at Parkland Medical Center, Derry.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A graveside service will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry Road, Derry, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choosing.
