Michael C. Burrell, 45, of Provincetown, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on
Monday, March 16, 2026, due to medical complications.
Born and raised in Provincetown, Michael was a true Cape Cod native who found his
greatest joy in the outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or spending time by the ocean, he
carried a deep love for nature throughout his life.
Michael played hockey throughout his youth and was a member of both the hockey and
tennis teams at Provincetown High School. He later built a career as a skilled and
hardworking carpenter, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and in the work of his
hands.
Above all else, Michael’s greatest love was his family. He is survived by his beloved
daughters, Adrianna and Kayla Burrell, who meant everything to him and were the center
of his world. He is also survived by his parents, Verna and Bill Burrell; his older brothers,
Warren Burrell and his wife, Amy, and Christopher Burrell and his wife, Michelle; his nieces
and nephew, Madison Cruz, Kate Burrell, Caroline Burrell, and Benjamin Burrell; and his
many beloved friends in the fishing community, who will miss him dearly.
One of Michael’s greatest passions was fishing. He loved being on the water, especially tuna,
fluke, and bass fishing, and cherished the time he spent fishing alongside his father and
older brothers. He also enjoyed golfing, finding both challenge and peace in the game.
He will be remembered for his love of the ocean, his dedication to his family, and the
memories he created with those who knew him.
