Obituary

Richard V. "Dick" Corbeil, 80, of Trimtown Road, North Scituate, passed away on Thursday, April 2nd in his home surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Devlin) Corbeil. They had been married for almost 60 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Richard D. and Edith A. (Michaud) Corbeil. He had lived in North Scituate for 35 years, previously living in Johnston in the home that he built. Richard was a National Guard veteran.

Richard was a master stair builder and general contractor prior to starting his own company Wood Ridge Inc.

Richard loved vacationing in the Caribbean with his wife and spending time with his three great-grandchildren and his dog Callie. Richard also enjoyed woodworking in his workshop and watching YouTube on his computer.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children Keith Corbeil of Cranston and Kristen Izzo of Providence. He was the grandfather of Amanda Corbeil, James Corbeil, Stephen Staskiewicz and his wife Stephanie, and Matthew Staskiewicz. He was the great-grandfather of Ava, Luca and Sophia Staskiewicz. He was the brother of Elaine Woodcock, Marilyn Clare, Charles Corbeil and George Corbeil and his wife Debra.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 8th at 11am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be in Highland Park, Johnston. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30am to 11am.
