Obituary

PORTLAND- Jeannie Wheaton 74 of Portland ME passed away on March 24, 2026
She was born April 19, 1951, in Caribou ME to the late Forrest and Irene Wheaton. She was in the class of 1969 at Caribou High.
I LOVE YOU MOM
She lived a very full life because she said YES way more than NO. She loved working with the young adults at Casa, and of course her love of all things Harley Davidson, but I remember her most for an endless list of things like being a truck driver, living in a school bus at Rickover then Wassampki campgrounds throughout my childhood. She was a Hawg Shop owner, badass biker queen, going to motorcycle weekend in Laconia NH for 50 consecutive years. She honeymooned at a civil war reenactment in Gettysburg PA. She made beautiful dresses and costumes, also decorating the most stunning over the top wedding cakes. She was a yard sale wanderer and would be on the phone for hours listening and giving the best advice or alibi - whichever was needed.
I STILL LOVE YOU MOM
Jeannie was predeceased by her husband Alden Dyer then fiancé Chuck Ginnish, her son David Wheaton and brother Forrest ‘Red’ Wheaton II
She is survived by her daughter Kathryn ‘Kay’ Wheaton and granddaughter Kathryn ‘Katie’ Brown and four beautiful great-granddaughters. There are too many nieces, nephews and cousins who will all miss her deeply. It must be said that she was also known as auntie or mum to soo many, both related or not. again, she will be remembered because she is loved by all who knew her.
I MISS YOU MOM
It is hard to forget someone who gave us so many memories so please share yours with us on this guest book
We will be having a celebration of life for her when it gets warmer.
