Roger J. Poisson Sr. 86, formerly of 267 Carnation St. Woonsocket, died September 8, 2006 at the Harbor Home in York, ME. He was the husband of the late Violet E. (Pincince) Poisson. Mr. Poisson was born in Manville a son of the late Walter and Clemence (Gauvin) Poisson. Mr. Poisson worked for the Draper Corp. which later became Rockwell International for over thirty years retiring in 1979 as the a manager of the shipping department. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a life member of the VFW Post # 6342. He was also a member of the AARP.
Mr. Poisson is survived by two sons Roger J. Poisson Jr. of Cape Neddick, ME and Paul Poisson of Sevienville, TN. one sister Marietta Wickstrom of Millville, MA and six grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held Friday at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery in Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations to the Veteran’s of Foreign War, Post Rd. Cape Neddick, ME 03902 in his memory would be appreciated.
