Myrna Arlene Doten (McAllen), passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born on May 16, 1940, Myrna lived a life centered on love, family, and devotion. She was known for her contagious laughter, her loving and welcoming spirit, and her deep devotion to her children and grandchildren. Her warmth filled every room, and her steady strength was a comfort to all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Myrna worked as a telephone operator, waitress, assembled freight train shocks and later as a certified nurses aide, providing compassionate care to others, including retired New Brunswick Supreme Court justices. In her later years, the role she cherished most was being “Nanny” to her beloved granddaughters, Grace and Lauren — a title she wore with pride and joy.

She is survived by her children: Kimberly Ste. Marie and her husband Paul of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada; Theresa Dobson and her husband David of Oromocto, New Brunswick; Peter Doten and his wife Barbara of Nashua, New Hampshire; Lisa Doten of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts; and Tanya Moriarty and her husband George of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts.

She also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Lisa T. Doten of Nashua, New Hampshire; Phillip Doten of Manchester, New Hampshire; Grace Moriarty and Lauren Moriarty of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts; as well as her cherished great-grandson, William Mahoney IV of Nashua, New Hampshire.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Myrna’s life in Massachusetts on March 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Casa D’Lisa, 801 Springfield Street, Agawam, Massachusetts. A second celebration of life will be held in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, on May 16, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Garcelon Civic Center.

Myrna’s love and legacy will live on through the family she adored. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
