Obituary

Jeane D'Arc Therrien, 85, September 12, 2006, after a period of declining health.

She was born in St. Francois de Lac, Canada, and was the daughter of Thomas and Florida (Bellerose) Martel. She had been a resident of Auburn for many years.

She owned and operated Jeanne's Ceramics in Auburn for many years and was one of the first to be certified as an instructor in the National Ceramic Association.

She was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Auburn where she was very active in various church activities. She was also a citizen of the Sovereign Abenaki Nation, Republic of Missisquoi.

She was married to Theobald A. Therrien, who died in 2003. In addition she was predeceased by a daughter, Irene J. Leduc in 1986.
Family members include three children, Robert J. Therrien, of Schenectady, NY, Lorraine P. Senechal, Paul D. Therrien, both of Auburn, NH; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; two brothers, Samuel Martel, of Goffstown, and Raymond Martel of Manchester; four sisters, Germaine Bussiere, of Arkansas, Marie Therrien, Dora Raymond, both of Manchester, and Cecile Rogers, of Dover, NH; many nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday September 16, 2006 in St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Rd. Auburn NH.

Burial followed in Longmeadow Cemetery, Rt. 121 Auburn, NH.

Memorial donations may be made to the Massabesic Seniors, care of the Auburn Town Hall, 47 Chester Rd. Auburn NH 03032
