
Patrick J. Murphy II, 83, of Somerset, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Pamela A. (Parsons) Murphy.
Mr. Murphy was born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph C. and Irene R. (Talbot) Murphy and had resided in Westport for many years before relocating to Somerset. Prior to retirement, he worked as tool and die maker at Texas Instruments. He and Pam then opened, co-owned and operated the former Captain P.J.'s Seafood Galley, Somerset from 1976-1996 and then he also owned Captain P.J.’s Two and Fish Market in Westport. He enjoyed fishing and being on the water.
Survivors include his son: Patrick J. Murphy III of Fall River; his daughter: Heather C. LePage of Somerset; his sister: Luce M. Murphy of Somerset; 3 grandchildren: Murphy R. LePage, Ireland A. Murphy and Mariella K. Murphy; his brother-in-law: Richard Michaud; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Theresa M. Peixinho and Sheila A. Michaud and brother-in-law of the late Tony Peixhino..
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, March 26, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, from 9-10:30 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, prior to the Mass.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
