New Bedford, Hortense (Pacheco) Paul aged 88 yrs, passed away Tuesday September 12, 2006, after a brief illness. She was the Wife of Gilbert Paul, the Stepmother of Dolores Couto and her Husband Jose of New Bedford, the Sister of Ernestina Paulo, Maria Silva and Lourdes deMedeiros all of New Bedford, 2 Grandchildren Robert and Paul Couto and 2 Greatgrandchildren, a deceased Brother Jose T. Pacheco and a deceased Sister Maria Paul
Mrs Paul was born in St. Miguel, Azores and lived in this area for 50 yrs. She was a Daughter of Jose Tavares and Elvira Conceicao (Pereira) Pacheco. She was formerly employed as a Stitcher at Langshaw Manufacturing.
Her Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home at 9:30 Friday September 15, 2006 with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 5 to 8 P.M., on Thursday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
