Barbara Rae Anderson, 87, Oxnard, CA. passed away on February 17th, 2026, in Oxnard, CA. Barbara was born in Spokane, WA to Roy V. Anderson and Orvlyn M. Anderson on September 22, 1938. She went to Rogers High School and earned a degree from Spokane Community College, continuing her education at Oxnard City College after moving to Southern California in the 1970's and held administrative roles while employed for Abex Aerospace, Oxnard Frozen Foods, and the City of Oxnard. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising to exotic places, spending time with friends, family, and her gracious neighbors, and was a 25-year member of The Order of the Eastern Star at the time of her passing. She was initiated as a member into the Ventura-Fillmore Chapter on April 14, 2000, and held various officer positions including Worthy Matron twice (2006, 2011), was their dedicated Treasurer twelve times, and consistently spent her time involved in yearly events such as the Sweetheart Brunch and Thanksgiving Dinners. Barbara enjoyed earning her 25-year member pin in 2025 as well as the Rob Morris award in 2005 and the Service Award in 2008.
Barbara is survived by her great-nephew Zachary Anderson, Riverside, CA, great-niece Jaclynn Anderson, Nashville, TN. And nieces and nephews Lesa, Emilee, Tyler, and Dylan Waldo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Anderson and Orvlyn Anderson, brother Charles Anderson, sister-in-law Linda Anderson and nephew Scott Anderson. Memorial services will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park on Sunday, April 19th, 2026.
