
Claudette M. Briere, 77, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion to those she loved. She was born on January 16, 1949, in West Haven, CT, a daughter of the late Robert and Rita (LaFlamme) Beecher.
Claudette grew up in Madison, Connecticut, where she spent many cherished days walking the beaches and piers along the ocean. She developed a deep love for the ocean the simple joys of her seaside hometown. She loved walking the beach, listening to concerts, or spending time with friends and neighbors, she treasured the close-knit community and the peaceful beauty that surrounded her.
After High School Claudette moved to New York City, where she earned her certification as a dental assistant. It was there she met her first husband, Larry Rutter. The couple later settled in Tolland, Connecticut, where they welcomed their two sons, Kevin and Michael.
Later in life, Claudette met Keith Briere, whom she married. Together they welcomed their daughter, Laurel, and soon after made their home in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Driven by her strong work ethic and dedication to helping others, Claudette returned to school later in life and became a certified medical assistant. She went on to work at Lamprey Health Care in Raymond, New Hampshire, where she cared deeply for her patients and colleagues.
Claudette had a deep love of nature and found peace in the outdoors. She enjoyed long walks, watching birds, and listening to the gentle sound of wind chimes. Her appreciation for life’s quiet moments and natural beauty was something she carried with her always. Known for her warmth and friendliness, Claudette never met a stranger; her genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Above all, family meant everything to Claudette. She cherished the time spent with those she loved and the many memories they shared together. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin Rutter of Concord, NH, and Michael Rutter and his wife, Lissa, of Raymond, NH; her daughter, Laurel Heywood and husband, Hazel, of Meredith, NH; two grandchildren, Josiah and Seryna Rutter; two sisters, Priscilla DiBlasi of Florida and Barbara Fitzgerald of California; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Beecher.
