Sanford, Maine - Linda Frances Mee, age 60, passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2026, at Maine Medical.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Linda Frances Mee, who departed this life on March 8th, 2026, at the age of 60. She was a cherished mother, sister, daughter, auntie and friend, whose warmth, kindness, and humor touched all who knew her.
She was born in Sanford, Maine on September 21, 1965, to William and Frances Mee of West Newfield. Graduating from Massabesic High School, she continued to USM to pursue a career in nursing, where she found her calling. She dedicated over 35 years to the profession in the Sanford community, gaining respect for her hard work, compassion, dedication and integrity.
Linda will be remembered for her love of sunflowers, corned beef dinners, crime tv, and bingo to list a few of her favorites but she absolutely treasured her time outdoors with the kids particularly on the water, whether at the beach, the lake or a pool, especially with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by the following: her father and mother William and Frances Mee, stepfather Norman Mee, husband Scott Emard, and daughter Kelsey Roberts.
Linda is survived by her two sons - Matthew Roberts and his wife Lauren of Gorham, and Ethan Emard and Jen Swain of Sanford : her siblings, sister Carolyn Bryan and husband Mike of Westbrook, brother Phil Mee and wife Brenda of West Newfield, sister Jane Daniell and husband John of East Wakefield, NH; grandchildren, Owen, Lucas and Quinn along with 8 nieces/nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Rest in peace, Linda, you will be forever loved and never forgotten.
Gone yet not forgotten, although you are apart from us, your spirit lives within us, and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. Family and friends will be invited to attend and share their memories.
