WORCESTER - Eleanor M. (Rugg) Masterson, 64, of 21 Dillon Street died Thursday, September 5 in the Blaire House Nursing Home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 21 years Matthew Masterson Jr. of Worcester. A son James M. Masterson of Leominster; three daughters Betsy Noonan of North Brookfield, Nancy Smith of Paxton and Karen Masterson of Holden; A sister Katherine Gleason of Clearwater, Florida; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester daughter of George and Jeanette (Lamoureux) Rugg.
Mrs. Masterson worked as director of personel for the Worcester House of Correction for 14 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Cathrine of Sweden Church.
The funeral will be held Monday, September 9 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street with a mass at 11 AM in St. Catherine of Sweden Church 1 Wiser Ave. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Sunday, September 8 from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
