Marie Carmelite Alexandre, affectionately known as Tisè, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Hyde Park, Massachusetts.
She was born on July 16, 1954, in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. Carmelite later made her home in Hyde Park, where she spent many years surrounded by her loving family, dear friends, and a supportive community.
Carmelite will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her can-do attitude, and her love of laughter, life, travel, and good food.
Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, and her presence brought comfort and joy to those who knew her.
Carmelite is predeceased by her parents Vierginia Cadet and Demeurant Alexandre, her siblings, Alice, Antoine, Anselme, Viergela, Yvette, Rosana, and Gedeon. She leaves behind her husband, Wesner Dumay, her sister Cleomie Marius, her beloved children: Lineda Yoyo (Emmanuel Yoyo), Clifford Dumay (Marie Danielle Bellanton Dumay), Marc Dumay (Judeline Dumay), Phabiola Dumay (Vladimir Jeune), Jasmine Dumay, and adoptive daughter Stephanie Damefils (Jeff Damefils), her 18 cherished grandchildren: Euniss, Anabelle, Gretchen, Theophile, Claire, Ezra, Joulie, Gisele, Nora, Alexander, Logan, Vivienne, Henri, Leyla, Eloise, Ellery, Abigail, and Aaron. She also left behind her beloved nephew Caleb, who was more like a son to her and held a very special place in her heart, as well as many loving nephews, nieces, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
While we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she has finally made it home to the embrace of her loving Savior. Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21st at Boston Missionary Baptist Church, 336 Dudley St., ROXBURY at 10:00 am. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, BRAINTREE. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21st at Boston Missionary Baptist Church, 336 Dudley St., ROXBURY from 9:00 - 10:00 am prior to the service.
