
Toni Fitzgerald Sugg, 71, of Jerseyville, IL, passed away January 9th at her residence, following an extended illness.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 7th, at 1:00 PM in the Evergreen Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at the cabin of Jerry and Sis Prescott.
Mrs. Sugg was born July 4th, 1954, in Fitzgerald to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eugene Fitzgerald. A 1973 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, she attended Jones College in Jacksonville, FL, and spent her career as a Medical Assistant, where she was loved by her patients. Toni never met a stranger and loved people and children. After her retirement, she cherished spending time with family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ariel Sugg of Jerseyville, IL; daughters: Leah Pitts of Jacksonville, FL, and Lindsey (Carlos) Rodriguez of Savannah; grandchildren: Tyler Ahlers, Austin Pitts, Gavin Pitts, Carlos Rodriguez IV, and Braydon Rodriguez, all of Savannah; great-granddaughter: Blakely Ahlers of Savannah, sister: Ronnie Bowater of Jacksonville, FL; brothers: Freddy (Mary Jean) Mims and Robby (Nelda) Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Johnson.
