Obituary

GILFORD — Arthur Ernest Perron, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Arthur was born on February 16, 1951, in New Britain, CT, the son of the late Joseph Arthur Perron and Theresa Marie (Desrochers) Perron.

Arthur began working as logger for Peter Pierce, ran Art’s BP Gas Station for several years, and later worked for Pike Industries, G2S, and retired as a millwright for Bridgewater Power. He was certified in diving, welding, and underwater construction.

Arthur was a man who could fix anything—except dinner. He made friends wherever he went and was truly a jack of all trades. He and his wife built their own house, garage, and sap house, completing the plumbing, electrical work, groundwork, and logging themselves. He built his own ice boat and loved ice sailing. Arthur made maple syrup, kept bees, crafted mead, enjoyed photography, and cherished the natural world. He even had an osprey named after him. He was a wonderful father, attending years’ worth of sporting events, plays, concerts, graduations, and was even a Boy Scout leader. He also enjoyed the companionship of family pets throughout the years.

An avid sportsman, Arthur enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, hunting, boating, water skiing, kayaking, gardening, croquet, landscaping, woodworking, four wheeling, snowmobiling, motorcycle racing, and RC car racing. He was a devoted New York Yankees fan. He was a long-time member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and volunteered for Gunstock Nordic Association.

Arthur loved traveling with his wife Beverly, especially RV trips to National Parks, Canada, and Florida. Together they also visited Ireland, Iceland, and Alaska.

He treasured time at the family camp—soaking in nature, wildlife, friends, cribbage games, and sunsets. He enjoyed collecting rocks and beach glass, often turning them into art.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Beverly (Corriveau) Perron; son Brett Perron and his wife Jessica of New Market, MD; daughter Amy Keene and her wife Jodie of Gorham, ME; brother-in-law Ronnie Jambard of Sumter, SC; sisters Rita Thibodeau of Bradenton, FL, and Bettyann Ouellette of Alton Bay, NH; grandchildren Clayton, Ava, Lyla, Allen, and Pierce Perron, all of MD, and Watson and Landry Keene of ME; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Linda Jambard.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:30am, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH.

A Celebration of Life will follow.
