Roger Lloyd Danford, 76, of Enigma passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at his residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Danford at a later date.
Born on September 25, 1949, in Donalsonville, Mr. Danford was the son of the late O’Neal Danford and Ruby Williams Danford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Dalton Reed Harnage; and three brothers, Melvin Earl Danford, Robert Eloyt Danford and Larry Danford. He retired from First Products in Tifton after 25+ years, where he was a welder and a fabricator. He loved picking his guitar and listening to classic country music and gospel music. He also enjoyed fishing with his wife.
Mr. Danford is survived by his wife, Florence Danford of Enigma; his children and their spouses, Dana and David Williams of Augusta, Chris and Renee Danford of Tifton and Crystal and Chris Shattles of Leesburg; his grandchildren, Brett Harnage, Kirby Paulk and Gavin Neal Danford; his great-grandchildren, Cole Smith, Peyton Harnage and Hunter Harnage; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Marie Danford of Mount Dora, Florida; and one sister, Vivian Simmons of Oregon.
