Frances L. “Fran” Deady (Muse) of Medford passed away on February 23, 2026. She was 81 years old. Frances was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Deady Jr. Born in Malden; she was the cherished daughter of the late John W. and the Lillian E. (Darling) Muse.
Frances served the City of Medford Police Dept. with distinction for over 50 years in multiple roles, including Police Matron, Traffic Supervisor, Head Clerk and in computer operations. She achieved an expert marksmanship certification in her high school rifle club. A feat she was very proud of. Frances will always be known for having a great sense of humor. Above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed the company of her cherished dogs and helping others.
Frances was the devoted mother of Thomas J. "Chip" Deady III of Woburn and Sean Deady and his wife Jennifer of Billerica. She was the adored grandmother of Bridget Deady, Thomas Deady IV, Natalie Deady, Brenden Deady and Aiden Deady. Frances was the dear sister Judy Stevens of Billerica. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Lois and Lorraine Rostanzo.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, MA, on Friday, February 27, from 4-7PM and again on Saturday, February 28, from 10AM-12PM. Relatives and friends are invited. Funeral services will be private.
