Helena Burns Rodriguez of West Roxbury passed away on February 18, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Edward Rodriguez. Dear sister of John “Jack” Burns and his wife Adele of Pembroke, the sister of the late Sister Mary Burns, SC and the daughter of the late John T. Burns and Helena (Dwyer) Burns.
Loving aunt of Michelle Meehan and her husband Brendan of NY and Janine Alpert and her husband Alex of Hanover. Great aunt of Layla and Max Meehan, Sloane, Sasha, Sage, and Samara Alpert.
Helena was born and raised in Dorchester. She retired as a social worker for the City of Boston.
Visiting Hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury on Friday, February 27th from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Followed by a Funeral Service and 12:00pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan.
