Obituary

Sharon Curit, 76, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House after bravely battling End Stage Renal Disease and multiple health issues. Though her body grew tired, her spirit never did. She fought like a warrior queen, facing every challenge with strength, courage, and determination.

Born on January 21, 1950, to Gertrude Louise Andrew's and William J. Richard's, Sharon graduated from Westbrook High School in 1969. She built her life around love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she cared about.

Sharon was widowed by her two husbands, Curtis H. Randall and George A. Curit. She worked at the Westbrook Spinning Mill during the 1980s and later enjoyed working at Walmart, where she made lasting friendships. No matter where she was, Sharon had a way of turning coworkers and acquaintances into lifelong friends.

To know Sharon was to be loved by her. She was a deeply loving and nonjudgmental woman who welcomed everyone with open arms. If she knew you, you were family. She had a gift for “adopting” people as her own, offering guidance, laughter, and fierce loyalty. Her home and her heart were always open.

Despite her many health struggles, Sharon continued to find joy in life. She loved crafts, puzzles, and playing Michigan Rummy, and she especially loved spending weekends at Beech Ridge, a place that brought her excitement and happiness. Those outings were among her favorite traditions.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Robert Richard's and James Richard's; and her sister, Margaret Hood.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Randall, Tammy Phillip's, and George A. Curit Jr.; her stepsons, Shad Randall and Shane Randall; her stepdaughter, Staci Jo Randall; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bill "Buster" Richard's, Bruce Richard's, and Ralph Richard's; her sister, Debra DiBiase; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Zelda, whom she loved with all her heart.
Sharon’s legacy is one of unconditional love, acceptance, strength, and fierce devotion to family. She leaves behind a family not only by blood, but by heart a testament to the beautiful, loving woman she was. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at a future date.
