Terry Wayne Turner Sr., 55, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Carol Cato officiating. Eulogies will be delivered by Steve Foster and Brinkley Turner. Interment will follow in the Old Prospect Church Cemetery, Ben Hill County, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, on Tuesday, February 24, at the funeral home.
Mr. Turner was born April 26, 1970, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late John Ozzie, Jr. & Bonnie O’Neal Turner. He worked for over 25 years in maintenance at Modern Fibers, which was later Shaw Industries. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, friends and his animals. Mr. Turner attended Old Prospect Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Turner; a son, Terry Wayne Jr. (Rebekah) Turner; daughters: Kelsey (Josh) Stone and Emily Turner and Blake McCranie; grandchildren: Graycie Stone, Grayson Stone, Remington Stone, Ken Grimsley, Lily Grimsley, Halleigh Turner, and Finn Grimsley; brother, John Turner and a sister, Teresa (Carol) Cato; his beloved Pet Sassy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Colton Stone and a brother, Jeffery Glen Turner, Sr.
