Obituary

BELMONT --- Robert Alphonse Wilson, affectionately known to friends and family as “Bob”, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, in his home in Belmont, N.H.

Robert was born August 9,1944 in Cambridge, MA, to the late Rita (Remillard) and Robert Wilson Sr. He was the oldest of 9 children.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne Marie Wilson (d.2020). He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Marianne Walsh and Gail (Darlene) Wilson; and brothers, Dr. Joseph (Neil) Wilson, Louis (Louie) Wilson, and Paul Wilson.

Bob was a loving husband to Anne and leaves behind their children: Robert Wilson and his wife Mary, of New Hampton, NH, Patricia Loureiro, of Billerica, MA, Kimberly Lynch and her husband Jack, of Everett, MA, Kathleen Wilson, of Wakefield, MA, and is preceded in death by his daughter Christine. He was also loving grandfather of Robert “Tony” Wilson, Ian Wilson, Jake Loureiro, and Sabrina Loureiro. He is also survived by his siblings: Roy and his wife Dr. Claire Wilson, of Groton, MA, Dwight, of Dracut, MA, and David and his wife Dianne Wilson, of Dracut, MA.

After the loss of his wife in 2020, Bob found solace in being a companion for the elderly. He especially enjoyed working at the Veterans’ Home in Franklin, NH, where he spent his time playing chess and socializing with the Veterans.

Bob enjoyed playing card games and board games with friends and family. In fact, much of Bob and Anne’s time together was spent playing card games at the kitchen table. He always enjoyed a competitive game.

He loved being outdoors hunting and camping and was an avid reader of westerns--his favorite author being Zane Grey.

To many who knew him, he was a happy-go-lucky guy who enjoyed talking to anyone. However, he especially enjoyed his frequent visits to Dunkin Donuts where he would enjoy his Mocha latte, with whipped cream on the top, and socializing with his friends. He will be missed by many, but his family will have peace knowing he is with his beloved wife Anne.
