Obituary

Mrs. Stephanie M. (Luciak) Adey, a longtime resident of Andover, MA. and formerly of Phoenix, AZ. and Baltimore, MD. was the beloved wife of David A. Adey, passed away with family present after a long battle with cancer at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, MA. on Wednesday morning, February 18, 2026. She was 76 years old.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a beloved daughter of the late Wasyl and Anna (Bulka) Luciak. Stephanie graduated from Phoenix Community College for Fine Arts. An active womanwith a very green thumb, she loved gardening, especially growing her roses, and enjoyed making flower arrangements for her family and friends. Stephanie had the gift of seeing beauty no matter where she looked. She was a longtime member of The Andona Society in Andover and was an active communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Andover. Stephanie enjoyed the Thursday afternoon Discussion Group and prayer groups at the church for many years. She was always cheering on her two sons in every sport they participated in and routinely braved the frozen MA and NH mountains to be a gatekeeper or cheerleader for everyone at her sons ski races. Stephanie developed an interest in tennis while living in Phoenix and played in a league in Andover for years. She also enjoyed Nordic skiing with family and spending holidays at their condo in Waterville Valley, NH. Above all, she was a devoted wife of 53 years, mother and grandmother. Stephanie will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, David, Stephanie is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law; David M. and his wife Joanne Adey of Ashburnham, sister; Donna and her husband Dan Kelly of Orlando, Florida, grandson; Zachary of Ashburnham and nephew; Jason Kelly of Orlando, Florida, cousin; Barbara Prioreschi of Galax, VA. Stephanie was also the mother of the late Matthew Allen Adey and sister of the late Ladislaus Luciak

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts PondRoad, Andover, on Wednesday, February 25, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Church on Tuesday, February 24, from4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
