Mary Diane Hardy Yancey, 75, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, February 20, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery, in Coffee County, Georgia. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Ms. Yancey was born June 7, 1950, in Wilcox County, Georgia, to the late Mary Newman Moseley. Alongside her mother, she was raised by the Late Alfred Moseley. She was a former case worker for DFACS. Ms. Yancey enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, especially their sporting events.
She is survived by her son, Jerry “Jay” Yancey & Christy; grandchildren: Ryan Yancey & Bri, Jailynn Yancey & Jordan, Braxton Yancey and Layla Yancey; greatgrandchild, Heidi Mae Cano and a sister, Cindy Hurst & Dennis; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two sons: Jared Yancey and Jonathan Yancey; great-grandchild, Gabriel Drake Yancey and siblings: Sylvia Pridgen, Patricia Waldron and Mike Moseley.
