James R. DiGiacomo, age 83, of Littleton formerly of Woburn, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington following a brief illness. Born in Malden he was the son of the late Armando and Mary (Renzella) DiGiacomo.
James was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. He went on to further his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering. James worked for many years as a trusted and talented Engineer with the former Solid State Testing Corp of Burlington, where he eventually served as Vice President prior to his retirement. In retirement, James always stayed active, he was very independent and health conscious regularly going to the gym to work out, playing basketball, and also enjoyed the outdoors and walking. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at the library and keeping up on current events.
However, James' greatest joy was his family, and nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by those he loved. He will fondly be remembered for his bone crushing firm handshakes, and his unconditional love and devotion for his family.
James is lovingly survived by his daughters; Tina DeLorme and her husband Allan of Littleton, and Tracy Jackson of Woburn. He was the loving Papa and best friend to Brett Jackson and his wife Stephanie of Andover. Cherished brother of Marjorie Davey of Malden and Nancy DiGiacomo of Malden. Former husband and dear friend of the late Marilyn (Mastrangelo) DiGiacomo.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and visit with the family at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Wednesday, February 25th, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 11 a.m. Interment services will be private.
