WATERBORO- Bonnie Jane Allen, age 61 passed away peacefully with her sister by her side on February 14, 2026, at The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Me.
She was born in Sanford Me on October 9, 1964, the daughter of Richard C. and Janet S. Allen of Alfred. Bonnie grew up in Alfred, attended Alfred Elementary and graduated from Massabesic High School with the Class of 1982.
She worked through her life doing many different jobs including at Konica in Scarborough, making wreath kissing balls and bows during the holiday season and for many years worked up at the Ossipee Valley fairgrounds in South Hiram during the NEORVCA Sand Drag races. Everywhere and everyone she met she had a smile on her face. She cared deeply for people and loved a good laugh. She met adversity with grit and determination and never wanted to be a bother to anyone.
Years ago she met Bob and began a life with him helping him raise his children. They became her “chosen family” and she loved every one of them very much. Getting to be “Grammy” was her greatest joy and filled her days with constant movement and mayhem. She just wanted to be home and being part of all the “craziness” of the household. She was happiest when there was a houseful of kids around. In the last few years Natalie and Lukas were there to help her and she loved being there for the kids as best she could.
Bonnie found peace in the simple things. She was a dedicated quilter and spent many years sewing with a special group of friends at the Purple Couch Quilt Shop. She treasured those friendships and enjoyed many nights of laughter and good food.
She was a woman who always wanted to know “what the heck was going on”. She loved a trip to the casino now and again and playing cards with Bob. She loved Dunkin coffee and sometimes just going for a ride and getting a coffee was a fun trip. She loved watching Heartland and playing games on her phone and listening to Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney. She loved her horse Simmy and her many dogs were always constant companions for her throughout her life. She leaves behind her beloved grand dog Jake.
She was predeceased by her father Richard C. Allen in 2015. She is survived by her mother Janet S Allen of Newfield Me, her brother Mark and his wife Georgette of Limerick and her sister Ann and her husband Bill of Newfield. Nieces Katie, Melanie & Emilie and their families and nephews Jared and Nathan and their families.
