
Tanisha Leona Pearson was born on June 6, 1983, to Steve Pearson and Nancy Oliver. She was lovingly raised in Ventura by Emory McMurray and Gladys Oliver, in a community she proudly called home throughout her life.
The eldest of three siblings, Tanisha shared a special bond with her sister, Stephanie, and her brother, Calvin. Growing up in Ventura, where she attended Will Roger’s elementary, De Anza Middle School , and Ventura High school, forming lifelong friendships and cherished memories along the way.
Tanisha accepted Christ at an early age, and her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. She carried her beliefs with quiet strength, compassion, and grace.
She leaves behind her three beloved children—Donovan, Kylah, and Malik—who were the center of her world and her greatest pride and joy. She is also survived by her great uncle Ray Oliver, affectionately known as “Nerd,” along with a host of cousins, extended family members, and close friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Tanisha was preceded in death by her great-grandmother and great-grandfather, lovingly known as Mom and Poppy; her mother, Nancy; her grandmother, Jean; her uncle Donnie and great uncles, Dennis, Carrol , and Thomas Jr.; her great aunt Mary Helen; and her cousin Elizabeth.
Tanisha’s life was marked by love for her family, devotion to her children, and faith in God. Though her time with us was far too short, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to memorial services to be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 11:00am in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
