Kenneth D. Walker, 80, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, passed away on February 5, 2026 after a long illness.
Ken was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Kenneth Walker Sr. and Estelle Walker. He was a lifelong resident of Westport, attending Westport High School and then Bryant University. After graduating from Bryant, Ken accepted a position as an educator for the Fall River School Department and remained in that position for thirty-seven years.
Ken was known for his hard work, enthusiasm and humor. He was an avid runner and participated in the New Bedford half marathon, which he successfully finished many times. He enjoyed hiking and backpacking and continued in these activities throughout a good part of his life.
Ken is survived by his wife Patricia Walker to whom he was married for fifty years, a daughter Amanda Ravenelle and her husband Wayne of Fall River, a son Seth Walker and his girlfriend Malissa Holden of Fall River, his son Kenneth Durfee Walker of Fort Collins, Colorado, a sister Joyce Walker of Port Charlotte, Florida, a brother Ronald Walker and his wife Maureen of Zephyrhills, Florida. Ken was the brother of the late Gary Walker. His five grandchildren include Camryn, Landon and Patrick Ravenelle and Kendall and Cassidy Walker.
Visitation will be held Saturday February 21 from 12 to 3PM at Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Massachusetts.
