
Judith A. Plouffe, 85

Judith A. (Desormeaux) Plouffe, age 85, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Gerard A. Plouffe, to whom she was wed on July 4, 1961.
Born in Norton, MA on July 15, 1940, she was a loving daughter of the late George and Lillian (Poudrier) Desormeaux.
Judy grew up in Norton and was a 1958 graduate of Norton High School. She had made her home in Mansfield since 1975 and prior to retiring had been employed as a union cashier and shop steward at Stop & Shop in Mansfield. She was formerly employed at Leach & garner in Attleboro, at the J&C Ferrara Company in North Attleboro, at LeStage Manufacturing in North Attleboro and also at Roberts Ford in Attleboro.
A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Judy loved spending time with her adoring family and was a former twenty-five-year volunteer at the American Red Cross. Judy an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, traveling and trips to Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Denise A. (Plouffe) Randall of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Daniel G. Randall. She was the dear sister of the late George Desormeaux.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield on Saturday, February 7th from 4:00-7:00 P.M.
A service, in celebration of her life, will be held at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home at the conclusion of visitation. A reception will follow at the Mansfield Lodge of Elks, 140 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Burial will take place privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, Judith’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary, 37 Eddy Street, Norton, MA 02766.
