Mrs. Iarusso died Wednesday, September 6, 2006 quietly in the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born Liberty Victoria Columbia Ciampi in Brockton June 1, 1918 daughter of the late Antonio and Adelina (Girolamo) Ciampi. Liberty was a Brockton High School Graduate and has spent most of her life in Brockton with the exception of a few years after her marriage to her late husband Peter. She spent more than 25 years working as a Retail Manager for the former Kings, Mammoth Mart and Clearweave Department stores retiring many years ago. During WWII Liberty was a local civilian Air Raid Warden. She was a former communicant of both Our Lady of Lourdes and the former St. Margaret’s Church. Liberty enjoyed working in the yard, Sunday car rides and watching T.V. especially her soaps.
She is survived by her son Peter A. Iarusso, and two grandchildren Peter A Jr. and Yvonne Iarusso all of Brockton.
