Obituary

Louisa Charlot, 84 years old, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on January 15, 2026.  After a long fight with a devitalizing illness. Louisa was called to her everlasting home where there is no more pain or suffering.
 
Louisa was born January 5, 1942 in Anse-a-Foleur, Haiti. She was born the daughter of late Similor Charlot and Iliora Saint-Brave of Bas de Saint Anne, Anse-a-Foleur, Haiti.
 
Louisa went to Catholic School at a Catholic Church in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. She then went on to became a high school teacher that taught English and math.
 
Louisa later gave birth to her first child, her son Wilkinson, in December of 1971 in Haiti. She then came to the United States in 1978. Louisa then gave birth to 2 more sons, Emmanuel in November of 1982, and Kervin in March of 1983. She loved her sons dearly. She showed unconditional love to them.
 
Louisa worked as a Housekeeper at the Westin Hotel Copley Place. She was known for her friendly demeanor and smile towards everybody she encountered at her job. She was awarded Employee of the Year several times along with numerous other awards to recognize her hard work. She retired from the job in 2020 after 33 years of working for the company .
 
Louisa loved her family and friends. She would do anything to help a family member or friend if she could. She loved talking to her nieces and nephews from the Bahamas, Haiti, and the USA over the phone whenever she wasn’t at church or work. She would always say “we should all work together to be happy as a family”.
 
Louisa was a member of Temple Salem Seventh Day Adventist Church. She made it to church faithfully every Saturday. She even watched her service on Saturday’s via YouTube when she got sick and couldn’t physically go to the church. She loved her religion deeply and lived her life for God. She loved to pray with and for family and friends.
 
Louisa had such a contagious smile, she lit up any room she walked into . She was the true meaning of God’s work on earth as she served as one of his own messengers and a dear child of God. She would offer Jesus Christ as a personal savior to everybody she came in contact with. She was so grateful for everything God had did for her, her family, and her friends.
 
Remaining to cherish Louisa’s memory is her only surviving brother: Duval Charlot, her children: Wilkinson Knaggs, Emmanuel Knaggs, and Kervin Knaggs, her cherished grandchildren: Hilary Knaggs, Aria Myracle Knaggs, Wilyschea Williams, Nisaiah Knaggs, Nicolas J Knaggs, Imani Alston, Tajzna Holiday Luna Rose, her cousins: Heralus Louis, Martha Louis, Rosita Louis, Philoclesse Charlot, Eleus Charlot, Etude Charlot, Ferdinan Charlot, nieces and nephews:  Raymond Charlot and Suzette Charlot, Mona Preal, Carlos Charlot, and many more nieces and nephews.
 
Preceding Louisa in death are spouse, Louisa, her parents: Similor Charlot and Iliora Saint-Brave, her brothers: Mathieu, Emilor, Theodet, Duby, Duval and her sister: Medithe.
 
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing hour on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 9 AM followed by a Religious Service from10-11:30 AM in Temple Salem Seventh Day Adventist Church, 222 Woodrow Ave, Mattapan, MA. 02126, with Clergy officiating. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery located at 427 Cummins Highway in Roslindale, MA 02131.
