Obituary

Aubrey William Aldridge, born July 4th, 1943, passed away January 7, 2026 at the age of 82, peacefully in his sleep.

He was a well-known resident of Salem MA, as well as Gloucester MA and Hatfield PA. He was born in Gloucester MA, son of Harriet Hunson Aldridge. He grew up on Lyndale Avenue, New Way Lane and Burnham Street in Gloucester. He joined the Army in 1961. He met his first wife Carol In Philadelphia and they became proud parents of 3 children, his daughters Cheryl and Tracy, and son Brian. He later moved back to Gloucester MA where he met his second wife Ivy and welcomed and raised his daughter Christina. He later moved to Salem MA to be closer to work.

He was a generous soul with a witty sense of humor. He had many hobbies including riding motorcycles, scooters, working on engines and electrical projects, gas powered model planes and trains, slot cars, even built a wooden car bed. He also loved being at the helm of his 32’ Chris Craft, camping, swimming, but mostly spending time with his 4 children that he loved taking camping and to amusement parks. His birthday being the 4th of July, he loved fireworks. He was also fond of his nephew Kris Francis and close friend Kelly Erwin. He enjoyed being with friends at The Knights of Columbus. He had a love for cars, owning a 67 Corvette, a 68 GTO and others and proudly showed them off.

He worked at Asplund Tree Co of PA as a truck mechanic, Indian Valley Camping Center of PA as an RV mechanic, Varian of MA, Crystal Systems of MA and various handyman jobs over the years.

He was preceded in death by his nephew Mark Stottlemyer of MA.

He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Zischang and husband Mike of PA, his daughter Tracy Aldridge of PA, his son Brian Aldridge and his wife Kim of PA, his daughter Christina Drowne and husband Steve of CT, his granddaughter Tanya Scarpiello of PA, his grandson Jeffrey Ford and girlfriend Amanda of PA, his granddaughters Ivy and Lily and grandson Jack of CT, and great grandchildren Jaxin, Mason & Lily of PA, his niece Shirley Turner of MA, his Nephew Kris Francis and wife April of MA, His nephew Cory Francis of MA, his close friend Kelly Erwin of MA and many more family and friends that he loved.
