
Barbara (Beal) Pantridge a resident of North Hill Needham, formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY, died on Tuesday, September 5th after a brief illness. She was 86 years old. Born in Poughkeepsie, the daughter of the late Edna (Vreeland) and Moses Clay Beal, Mrs. Pantridge lived there until moving to North Hill in 2000. She received a B.A. degree from Mt. Holyoke College and a M.S. degree in Library Science from the State University of New York in Albany. Mrs. Pantridge worked as a medical librarian at the Dutchess County Mental Health Association. Previously she had worked in publishing and journalism. The wife of the late Robert Andrew Pantridge. She is survived by her daughter Margaret L. Pantridge and her husband Franklin King III, her son Mark V. Pantridge and his wife Margaret G. Pantridge all of Needham, her step grandson Franklin King IV and grandson Nathaniel King, granddaughter Caroline Pantridge and grandsons Edward Pantridge and Robert Pantridge, her niece Cynthia France and nephews Ross Beal and Richard Phelps. A Memorial service will be held on Friday Sept 8 at 11 AM in the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel 1132 Highland Ave. Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. NEEDHAM on Thurs from 4-7:30 PM. Burial will take place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Holyoke College 50 College St. South Hadley, MA 01075 or a charity of your choice
