DERRY, NH – Antonio M. Andrade age 76 died Monday September 4, 2006 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, one of 12 children, he was a veteran in the Portuguese Army with 20 years of service, before immigrating to the United States in 1970 with his wife and 6 children. He resided in Cambridge, MA for 3 years before moving to Lawrence, MA. For 20 years he was employed with Malden Mills in Lawrence retiring in 1993. According to his family he enjoyed playing music, the guitar, he loved to travel and going to the ocean. His family loved him and he will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
He leaves his wife of 46 years Maria L. (DeSilva) Andrade of Derry, NH.
4 sons, Renato Andrade and his wife Maria Goretti of Amesbury, MA, Antonio Andrade, Jr., and his wife Katherine Vasco Andrade and his wife Theresa both of Dracut, MA, Paul Andrade and his wife Christina of Derry, NH.
2 daughters Alda Lemarier and her husband Michael of Derry, NH, Cristina Dion and her husband Randy of Salem, NH.
1 brother Jose Medeiros and his wife Enez of Pawtucket, RI
1 sister Urania Moniz of East Derry, NH
15 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Friday 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery also in Lawrence, MA.
