STANDISH- Simon Gonzalez, age 5, son of Thomas and Natasha Gonzalez, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 16, 2025, in Standish.
Simon was born on Oct. 8, 2020, in Portland, Maine. He attended Edna Elementary School in Standish. Simon was a huge light to everyone and would always comfort the people he loved.
He loved listening to music-his favorite artists being MGK (Machine Gun Kelly), helping with construction activities such a working on the excavators, the color yellow, Spiderman, Coke-a-Cola, playing Mario Party, eating bananas, going to school and spending time with his Bampa, Frammy, sisters, brothers, family, classmates and friends who will all miss him very much.
Simon is survived by his parents Thomas and Natasha Gonzalez, brother Jason Gonzalez, sisters Madison Hunt and Jaylin Hamper, "Baby Momma" Brittany, Uncle Alexy, Nana, Uncle Jeremy, Auntie Alicia, Aunt Sara and many friends.
At the family's request, services will be private only amongst friends and family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and donated by Poitras Funeral Homes and Brooklawn Memorial Park Crematory.
