SPENCER; Jon R. O'Coin, 70, of 33 Clark St., died Thursday, August 31 at
Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Joyce S. (Morin) O'Coin, a son, James R.
O'Coin and his wife Wanda of Summers, CT., three daughters; Judith M. Walker
and her husband Richard of Norfolk, MA., Jayne M. Lussier and her husband
Francis of Spencer, Julie A. Pagano and her husband James of Wilbraham, MA.,
11 grandchildren; Marinda, Paige and Jordan O'Coin, Griffin, Vaughn and
Rachel Walker, Kelsey, Derek and Corey Lussier and Hannah and Jack Pagano.
He was born in Concord, N.H. the son of Harry L. & Jeanette (Lacroix)
O'Coin.
Mr. O'Coin was a engineering supervisor for 30 years at Morgan Construction
in Worcester, retiring in 2001.
He graduated from David Prouty High School in 1954 and attended Becker
College-Worcester, and Worcester Trade School. He was a member of St. Mary's
Church in Spencer. He was an avid bird watcher and woodworker and enjoyed
spending time with his children and grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, September 5 from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of
the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Following cremation burial of
ashes in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer will be at the
convenience of the family. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the
funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary, Queen
of the Rosary Parish Memorial Fund, 60 Maple St., Spencer, MA. 01562.
