Obituary

James E. “Jamie” Thomas, 73, died Friday, September 1, 2006 at his home under the care of Old Colony Hospice. He was the husband of Theresa A. (DeLuca) Thomas of Stoughton. Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and a graduate of South Boston Schools. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 28 years. Mr. Thomas worked as a Restaurant Manager for many years at several area restaurants including the Holiday Inn in Somerville and he also owned a restaurant of his own. He was a Proud Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 200 in Stoughton for many years.

In addition to his wife Theresa, he is survived by his sister Carol Rosebach of East Bridgewater, his brother Donald of Weymouth and his sister in law Ruth A. Pratti and her husband Henry of Yarmouth. He was predeceased by his children, James E. Thomas Jr., Christopher A. Thomas and Elizabeth M. Thomas, and his sister Barbara A. Maher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 6 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial will be at Dry Pond Cemetery, Stoughton.
