Theresa Allen, 50, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Derry, NH died Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at her home. Theresa was born in Cambridge, MA on September 21, 1955, a daughter of the late Harold M. and Florence (Annal) Rezendes. She grew up in Wilmington, MA and graduated from Shawsheen Technical High School in Billerica, MA, class of 1974. She worked as a CNA for the Hillsborough County Nursing Home and later for the Manchester Kidney Center. She truly enjoyed helping people. Theresa enjoyed crafts, especially ceramics and painting. She loved her family very much and adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Erica Sullivan of Derry, Kyle Allen of Jacksonville, FL, and Neil Allen of Derry, two grandchildren, Liam Sullivan Gustison and Reilly Rose Sanborn, both of Derry, her companion, Matt Gagne of Manchester, two sisters, Pamela Blaise of Daytona, FL, Maryann Russel of Billerica, two brothers, Walter Rezendes of Alabama, Robert Rezendes of Manchester, a niece, Melissa Lee of Manchester, a nephew, Dylan Lee of Manchester, and also by many other nieces and nephews.
Following cremation a memorial service will be held at the family’s home. Burial will be held in the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica at a later date. There are no calling hours. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Theresa’s memory may be made to the New England Organ Bank, One Gateway Center, Suite 202, Newton, MA 02458-2803 or made to any cancer organization.
