Mr. Henry A. “Arnold” Nelms, 58, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Tuesday, August 29, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 2 at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Nelms was born June 15, 1948, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Oscar A. and Cassie Bell Nelms. He grew up in Savannah and lived in Fitzgerald most of his life. Mr. Nelms was a former employee of Liles Services Station for many years and managed Eastside Package Store for about twenty years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his son: Marc Nelms of Fitzgerald; grandson: Alex Nelms of Fitzgerald; sisters and brother-in-law: Leila “Bobbie” Jenkins and Jeannie & Frank Paro, all of Savannah.
