Obituary


Raymond H. Allard 79, of Great Rd., North Smithfield died Friday at Woonsocket Health Centre. He was the husband of the late Jeannette (Proulx) Allard. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Homer and Aldea (Tancrede) Allard.
Mr. Allard served in the Navy during WWII. He worked as an inspector for General Motors for over 30 years. He was a member of the Woonsocket VFW and the Unity Village Association.
He is survived by a daughter, Diane Erler, and her husband Charles of North Smithfield. He was the brother of Robert Allard of Florida, Pauline Bernier of Berkley MA, Theresa Dandenault of Woonsocket, Claire Currie of AZ, and the late Paul Allard and Hortense Kovack. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Friday from 5-8 pm in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
