Barbara E. (Gangloff) Allison, 90, died Saturday at her home. She was the wife of the late Matthew F. Allison. Born in Beverly, she was a long time resident of Beverly before moving to Centerville several years ago. Mrs. Allison was a graduate of Beverly Schools. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Allison was active at the First Federated Church of Hyannis, serving as a deacon. She also ran the Thrift Shop at the church for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and crafts.
She is survived by her children: Susan E. Allison-Tolan of Stoughton, Earl T. Allison and his wife Virginia of Danvers and John R. Allison and his wife Anne Marie of Needham. She was the sister of Richard Gangloff of Hamilton and Priscilla F. Johnson of Ipswich. She is also survived by her grandsons Earl T. Allison II and Ian J. Allison and his wife Haley.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 1, at North Beverly Cemetery, Cabot St., Beverly at 10:30 AM. Memorial Services will be held in the Unitarian Church of Sharon, Main St. (Rt 27) Sharon on Sunday, September 17 at 2 PM.
