Paul F. Erler of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died at Milton Hospital, Monday August 28, 2006. He was 87.
Husband of the late Ethel (Conley) Erler. Loving father of Paul F. Erler and his wife Janice of Quincy, Susan Hackett of Weymouth, Richard Erler of Weymouth, and Mary Limone and her husband Roy of Braintree. Brother of Nita Baum of WI, Betty Vowles of FL, and the late Ruth Erler of Medway. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the North Quincy Keohane Funeral Home, 333 Hancock St., N. Quincy Thursday at 8 AM.
Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 9 AM.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM.
Interment at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
Born in Fitchburg, MA and he attended schools in Franklin, MA graduating from Franklin High School. Paul is a Veteran of World War II serving under General Patton in the Anti Tank 271st Company Infantry Regiment. Paul served at Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and the Battle of the Bulge, Central Europe and in the African Middle Eastern Theater. After returning from the war he moved to Quincy where he was a resident for over 40 years, and later moved to Weymouth. Paul Worked as mechanic for an Oil Company, and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 25. He loved to play softball and go bowling.
