Michael A. Natola, a longtime Medford resident died Sunday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 78.
Mr. Natola was born and raised in Boston’s North End, the son of the late Carlo and the late Celesta (Contardo) Natola. After graduating Boston English High School, he served with the Army during World War II. Upon return, he attended Bentley College and worked for many years as an auditor for the former First National Bank of Boston.
He was the beloved husband of Lillian (Lauretano) Natola. He was a devoted father to Attorney Michael F. Natola and his wife Toni Ann of Burlington, Claudia Freda and her companion Louis Amaral of Malden, Julie Chaisson and her husband Ray of Georgia, Gregory and his wife Monique of Plymouth, Thomas and his wife Rosanna of Wilmington, Lori Swanson and her husband Mark of Saugus and Maria Natola of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Erik, Rachel, Michele, Zachary, Daniele, Alexander, Christopher, Olivia, Lianna, Christina, Erica, and Jason. He was the brother of Jennie Ciulla of Boston, Joseph of East Boston, Anthony of Malden and the late Mary, Frank, Pasquale, Grace and Carlo. Michael also leaves many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
