Fannie Vella, 92 of Medford died Sunday after a long illness at home.
Born in Italy, she lived in Medford for the past 64 years and formerly of the North End of Boston, and was the daughter of the late Rosario (Volpe) and Angelo Rizzo. Fannie was a stitcher at the former Leon Clothing for many years and retired in 1982. Mrs. Vella was former president of North End Younger Seniors, a member of the Santa Maria, Sons Of Italy Lodge, Amalgamated Garment Worker´s Union, and the Medford Forever Young Club.
Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Vella. Devoted mother of Rose Marie O'Brien of Medford, and the late Louis J. Vella. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Sister of the late Isabella Rizzo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
