Antonetta M. Zanello, a life-long Woburn resident died August 24th at home in the company of her family. She was 100.
Wife of the late Henry W. Zanello, she was born to the late Charles and Susan (Champa) Spinazola on Jan. 21, 1906. She was educated at St. Charles School and worked at the former Schraffts Candy Co., Boston. She was very devoted to her children, grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. Antonetta was the oldest of 10 children. She was a quiet, kind, gentle person who was good to everyone and always willing to help others. She enjoyed cooking and reading.
In addition to her husband Henry, she was predeceased by her daughter Rita and a grandson David Henry Zanello.
She was the mother of Jeanette and Marie Zanello of Woburn, Henry Zanello and his wife Joan of Kingston, James Zanello and his wife Cheryl of Sandown, NH. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of Alice Busa, Margaret, Raymond and Victor Spinazola, all of Woburn, the late Nellie Caruso, Julia, Clarence, Patrick and Charles Spinazola.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Sunday 5 – 8.
A funeral mass will be offered in St. Charles Church, Woburn, Monday at 9 AM. Burial will be private.
