Eleanor M. Eastman, 78, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday, August 19, 2006 in the Laurel Center, Bedford, NH. Mrs. Eastman was born in Needham, MA on June 2, 1928, a daughter of the late William J. and Doris (Hanson) Worringham. She was a resident of Londonderry for the past three years, formerly living in Ocala, FL for 12 years and Sudbury, MA prior to Florida. She graduated from Needham High School and worked as a teller at Newton Savings Bank in Needham. She was also a member of Christ Church Episcopal Church in Needham. Mrs. Eastman was a very devoted homemaker, doing all she could for her family. She was a very giving and loving person and her family was truly her life’s focus. She enjoyed traveling and taking family vacations. She was a wonderful teacher for her family, finding goodness in all people.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Walter F. Eastman of Londonderry, a son, Robert F. Eastman and his wife Suzanne of Saylorsburg, PA, a daughter, Cheryl A. Admirand and her husband Robert of Londonderry, four grandchildren, Lt. Brad Eastman of St. Louis, MO, Robbie Admirand of Londonderry, Kenny and Kimmie Eastman, both of Saylorsburg, a brother, Arthur J. Worringham and his wife Shirley of Denmark, ME, and also by three nephews, Paul, Rick and Mark. She was predeceased by her grandson, Christopher Eastman in 1989.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation a memorial service will be held in the Londonderry United Methodist Church at a later date. The burial will be in the Needham Cemetery. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O.
